Direct Excision of Wrinkles

In patients that do not want or cannot have usual rejuvenation surgery, they have the option of

removing unwanted wrinkles. Direct approaches are also useful to correct in a simple and

effective way the so called “turkey gobbler neck deformity” created by the muscle (platysma)

bands and the neck skin laxity. Incision following the “relaxed skin tension lines” tend to heal

extremely well.

The following is an example of deep melolabial and marionette lines correction utilizing this

technique. The fold and lines have been excised achieving a real rhytidectomy. (wrinkle

removal). Also, the treatment of the turkey gobbler neck deformity in this patient is

remarkable! The scars have completely faded after six months.
